YAMB OF THE BALKAN

🎯 Objective

The goal is to score as many points as possible by rolling 6 dice and combining the obtained values into the table. You have 3 rolls per turn.

📊 Columns

• ↓ DOWNWARDS: Populated sequentially from number 1 down to Yamb. Cannot be skipped.
• ↑ UPWARDS: Populated sequentially from Yamb up to number 1.
• ⇅ MIDDLE: Populated from the middle towards the ends (from MAX and MIN fields towards 1 and Yamb).
• S FREE: Can be populated in any order during the game.
• H HAND: Populated exclusively after the FIRST dice roll.
• 📢 CALL: You must explicitly call the desired field immediately after the first roll.

🏆 Scoring and Sections

SECTION 1 (Fields 1 to 6)

Only matching numbers are summed. If the sum in this section is ≥ 60, you receive a bonus of +30 points.

SECTION 2 (MIN - MAX)

Calculated by the formula: (Max - Min) * Number of ones (from the first section). If the result of this calculation is ≥ 60, you receive a bonus of +40 points.

SECTION 3 (COMBINATIONS)

• THREE OF A KIND (3 of a kind): Brings the sum of dice + 20 points bonus.
• FULL HOUSE (3 of a kind + 2 of a kind): Brings the sum of dice + 30 points bonus.
  *Note: 5 identical dice (Yamb) can also be entered as a Full House, as the game automatically recognizes it and treats it as 3 and 2 of the same dice.
• POKER (4 of a kind): Brings the sum of dice + 40 points bonus.
• YAMB (5 of a kind): Brings the sum of dice + 50 points bonus.
• STRAIGHT (5 in a row): Represents a sequence of 5 consecutive numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Scored depending on which roll it was obtained: 1st roll is 66, 2nd roll is 56, and 3rd roll is 46 points.

☁️ Cloud Save

Thanks to the connection with your Google account, your progress will never be lost. Our secure servers automatically save your complete statistics (including Power Index and win streak), your friend list, H2H cards of mutual duels, earned ducats and trophies, as well as the current standings in the Quarterly League and tournaments. In addition, your entire inventory (purchased effects, dice skins, and themes) is permanently saved, along with the latest app settings. Even if you change your phone, just log in again and continue exactly where you left off!

🛡️ What data is collected and why?

Your privacy is our top priority. Upon login, the app requests access to only the most basic data from your Google profile:

• First and Last Name: Used exclusively to generate your in-game name and display it on leaderboards.
• Email address: Serves as the unique identifier for your account. We do not send spam.
• Profile picture (Avatar): Used for the visual representation of your profile during multiplayer matches.

Yamb of the Balkan records your every move. Here's what we track in the statistics section:

📈 Basic Stats

• ⚡ Power Index (PI): The main indicator of your success that analyzes all your results and skills.
• 🏆 Record: Your personal best score ever achieved in any game mode.
• 🎮 Total Games: The sum of all matches played across all game modes.
• ⚖️ Win/Loss Ratio (W/L Ratio): Shows your overall efficiency in direct clashes. This statistic exclusively records matches in online Random duels, duels with friends, Tournaments, as well as the local Two-Player mode. Note: If the opponent leaves the game or their time expires (Anti-Troll timer), you are automatically awarded a win, but only in online modes. In local mode, a win is recorded only if the game is properly finished.
• 🔥 Win Streak: The number of consecutive wins achieved in online duels and tournaments.
• 📈 Average: Average number of points per game based on all matches played.
• 🏅 Trophies: A collection of special achievements you have unlocked.
• 💰 Balance (Ducats): Displays the current amount of earned ducats you have.
• 🌟 All-Time PTS: Total number of points you have earned since installing the game.
• ⚔️ Rival: The friend you have crossed dice with the most times.

⚔️ Head-to-Head Duels (H2H)

Who is really better? This section provides a detailed overview of the clash history with specific players. For every rival who becomes a friend, a special H2H card is formed:

• 🏆 Biggest Win: Your highest achieved score (in points) against that specific rival.
• 👑 Largest Margin: Shows the most dominant victory and the maximum point difference achieved against the rival.
• 💔 Heaviest Defeat: The largest point difference by which this rival has ever defeated you.
• 🔥 Win Streak: Your longest streak of consecutive wins achieved exclusively against this player.
• 🎯 Your Average: The average number of points you achieve in matches with this specific rival.
• ⚖️ Win/Loss Ratio: Displays your win/loss ratio with a specific rival expressed in percentages.

🏆 Leaderboards and Ranking

Yamb of the Balkan accurately records your every top result and allows you to compare your skills with the best players, as well as track your own progress!

🌍 Global Leaderboards

Show everyone your skills! Our global table is regularly updated and ranks players based on their absolute best achieved score. You can always track your rank in three prestigious categories:

• Weekly list: The battle for the top resets every week. It displays the best results achieved in the current week, making the race always dynamic!
• Monthly list: Displays the most persistent and successful players who dominated throughout the entire month.
• All-Time: The eternal list of the absolutely best results since the game's creation. Reserved only for true Yamb masters!

👤 Local List (Your Records)

If you prefer to compete exclusively with yourself, your personal, local leaderboard is at your disposal. It functions as your private success diary – carefully recording and sorting all your best games ever played from your account. Ideal for tracking personal development and a great motivation to always beat your own record!

🌍 Multiplayer & Duels

Cross dice with players across the Balkans, but also worldwide, through two exciting online modes:

🎲 Classic Multiplayer

Quickly jump into a game with a randomly selected opponent currently online and test your skills. Additionally, the system allows you to directly challenge any player you communicate with in the global chat, even if you are not officially connected as friends.

🤝 Duels with Friends

Organize private matches and build a rivalry history with your acquaintances! This option requires you to first make friends within the app. You can add a friend in two ways:

• Via the player list: Find a player in the list of currently active (online) users and send a request by simply clicking the "+" sign.
• By direct invite: Within the "Invite a friend" option, accurately enter your friend's Google name and send them a request.

⚔️ Competitions

Besides standard matches and duels, Yamb of the Balkan also offers organized competitions for the most ambitious players.

🏆 TOURNAMENTS

• Competition system: The weekly tournament consists of 8 players. It is played on a knockout basis: quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final. Each duel is played as a single match.
• Registration and fee: Registration costs 2500 ducats. Refunds and cancellations are only possible while the player gathering phase lasts. Once all 8 players are registered, the tournament begins, and withdrawal is not possible.
• Scheduling matches: Times are not fixed! Opponents in the bracket propose and accept the match time themselves through the app. Once both players confirm the time, the match can be started. The tournament can last a maximum of 7 days from the moment it starts.
• Prizes: The winner of the entire tournament gets a huge Power Index (PI) boost and will be forever inscribed in the Hall of Fame, plus rich rewards in ducats!

🏅 QUARTERLY LEAGUE

• League concept: The Quarterly League is a seasonal competition that lasts 3 months (a quarter). Every completed game (solo or online) brings points that are added up to determine your rank.
• Ranks: You progress through ranks: Amateur, Pro, Master, Legend, and Titan. Promotion to a higher rank depends exclusively on the total number of points collected in the current quarter.
• Prizes: At the end of each quarter, the invested effort pays off handsomely! The highest-ranked players win extremely valuable prizes in ducats, which they can use to further upgrade their profile.
• End of season and Hall of Fame: Besides ducats, the top 3 players at the end of the cycle enter the Hall of Fame (winning medals), while the first-placed player takes the prestigious title of Cycle Champion. After that, points are archived in 'All-Time', and the new battle starts from zero.

🟢 Online Players and Interaction

The app constantly shows you the exact number of players currently online. Besides the name and avatar of each active user, three exciting options are available to you:

• ➕ Add friend: Expand your circle of rivals! Send a request to the desired player – if they are online, the friendship can be formed immediately, and if they are not currently in the game, the request will wait for them in the "Invite a friend" option.
• 👁️ Spectate match: Watching other people's matches can be incredibly fun and useful. This is a perfect way for new players to visually understand the rules, while experienced masters can analyze others' moves and improve their logic for filling columns.
• ⚔️ Battle (Challenge): See someone on the list and want to measure your strength? By clicking the battle icon, you directly challenge the player to a duel, regardless of whether you are already friends or facing a completely unknown opponent!

💬 Chat and Communication

Yamb of the Balkan encourages healthy rivalry and socializing. That's why we offer two messaging options, with zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior:

• 🌍 Global Chat: Accessible from the main menu, this chat connects all players on the server. Before your first entry, you get a notification about the rules (which you must confirm with "OK" or cancel): insults on a racial, religious, national, gender, or any other basis are strictly prohibited. The use of vulgarity results in a ban from the server! Besides socializing, it also has a useful function – simply click on a player's name in the chat to directly challenge them to a mutual duel!
• 🎮 Duel Chat (In-game): Whether you are playing against a randomly selected opponent or in a duel with a friend, a private chat is available for conversation with your current rival. All strict rules of behavior and mutual respect also apply in this chat.

💰 Ducats and Economy

Ducats are the main currency in Yamb of the Balkan. You need them to enter elite tournaments, as well as to buy all cosmetic add-ons in the game. There are many ways to earn them:

• 🎲 Playing games: Each completed game (in any mode) brings you as many ducats as the points you scored. You can also double this earnings at the end of the match by watching a short AdMob sponsored ad!
• 🎁 Daily Challenge: Try your luck every day! Before you are 6 dice – the first four are added up, the fifth die multiplies that sum, and the sixth die multiplies the entire previous result. With a little luck, this is an ideal opportunity for incredibly fast earnings!
• 🎬 Treasury Rewards: Whenever you need extra ducats, enter the Treasury and watch an ad to immediately claim a bonus of 500 ducats.
• 🏆 Tournaments and Quarterly League: The most persistent and best players win the most! The winners of the weekly Tournaments, as well as players who take the top three spots at the end of the Quarterly League cycle, are automatically rewarded with huge amounts of ducats for their success.

💎 Treasury (Store and Trophies)

The Treasury is your central place for game personalization. Here you can review your achievements and spend your hard-earned ducats to make the Yamb experience completely yours.

• 🏆 Trophies: Track your progress! Here is an overview of all the special achievements you have unlocked through your games, as well as those waiting to be won.
• 🎲 Dice (Skins): Bored of the standard dice look? Use ducats to buy new, unique sets and play in style.
• ✨ Effects: Bought with ducats and activated exclusively when you roll a Yamb (5 identical dice) in a match. Make that winning moment even more spectacular!
• 🎨 Themes: Change the overall look of the app. Four standard themes are immediately available to you for free (Green, Light Gold, Dark Cherry, and Blue Ocean), while other exclusive themes can be unlocked with ducats.

⚙️ Settings

Customize Yamb of the Balkan to your liking through a simple settings menu. Several key segments are available here:

• 👤 Profile and Account: Overview of your linked Google account (first and last name are automatically retrieved and cannot be manually changed). The secure Logout option is also available here.
• 🎵 Sound and Haptics: Control sound effects and vibration. Note: haptics (vibration) is applied exclusively during active gameplay to enhance the tactile feeling of rolling dice.
• 🎨 Display and Language: Choose your desired visual identity by changing themes (you can choose standard themes, or those you unlocked with ducats in the Treasury). Also, here you can choose between two supported languages: Serbian and English.
• 📜 Legal documents: Quick access to our important rules - Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

🖥️ Server Support and Security

Behind Yamb of the Balkan is a powerful and stable server designed to provide you with a flawless and fair multiplayer experience. Here is what our server controls and secures in the background:

• 🛡️ Anti-Cheat and Fair Play: The server actively monitors every game, results, and your ducat balance, preventing manipulations and hacking attempts. Validation of rewards (like the Daily Challenge) is done directly on the server. An "Anti-Troll" timer is also built-in, which automatically awards you a win if the opponent intentionally delays their turn!
• ☁️ Cloud Save and Sync: All your settings, statistics (including H2H history), trophies, and inventory from the Treasury are securely saved and instantly synced with the database.
• ⚖️ Smart Moderation: The server uses an advanced filter to detect and penalize vulgarity in the global chat and usernames. Players who break the rules automatically receive restrictions, guaranteeing a healthy environment.
• 🔌 Connection Stability (Grace Period): We are aware that mobile internet can be unstable. If your connection drops in the middle of a tense duel, the server activates a "Grace period" of 30 seconds – giving you time to reconnect and continue the game before awarding the win to your opponent.
• 🏆 The Brains of the Operation: Manages Matchmaking, the friend request system, Quarterly League operations, Hall of Fame, and asynchronous Tournament scheduling.

📺 Ads and Maintenance (AdMob)

To keep Yamb of the Balkan free and continue its development, the app uses an ad system. We have tried to position them carefully so they do not ruin the visual experience and distract you during tense matches.

• ⏳ Short ads (Interstitial): Shown occasionally when closing the global chat or after exiting the spectate mode of other matches. They are crucial for covering the costs of fast servers and keeping the game alive.
• 🎁 Rewarded Ads: You watch these ads only when you choose to, and they bring you great benefits! You can use them to double your earned ducats at the end of a game or Daily Challenge, as well as to get exclusive 20% discounts when buying items in the Treasury.
